Mrs. L.H. Pammel
Ames, Iowa
Dear Friends:--
Time and again have I set apart a time to ans. your letter, but something unforeseen always comes up, and this is a place where they are constantly appearing.
I am enjoying my work very much indeed, the weather is simply superb, and as for flowers. I never saw anything like it. This is indeed a new world to Iowa. Very poor to be sure but many things to make it pleasant. I like it so much better than I thought I would at first.
Yes, I sympathize with the little baby brother and also must for the sisters as they of course must take a seat slightly in the rear now, for awhile, at least.
I wish I could tell you all the nice flowers we have in bloom now. [We are having?]
