My dear Prof. Pammel,
Your esteemed favor of May 24th at hand and contents duely noted. I hope you will pardon me for giving you so much trouble concerning my paper for the Acad. of Science.
I fear I could not get up a paper worthy of presentation on puff balls this year as I have only a very limited number in my collection and have given these but little thought since I came. Again here they do not appear until quite late in the fall making it quite late to collect and identify.
I am making a specialty of the Cercospor have a set nearly ready to send you, nearly or quite all are named by good authorities. And, will add more to the list. I should like to take the Cer. of Macon Co. if you will help me with it, I have never been anywhere or anyplace where Cer. were so abundant &
