My dear Prof. Pammel,
I am in Rec. of your esteemed favor containing determinations, for which accept thanks. I beg leave to say that some of the specimens sent you are very peculiar indeed, some of them form no spots at all but mere yellow patches much like the Pironos. Sometimes by holding the specimen between yourself & strong light the spores may be seen (i.e. spores & conidia) again I found great difficulty in locating items from dried specimens
