My dear Dr. Pammel:--
I am wondering if you have ever been able to find Sclerotinia Fructigena, (matured form) on either the peach or the plum?
I was in Prof. E. F. Gubas class at Cornell, and he showed me quite a number of fine specimens, some seemed to have as many as 30 well developed apothecia.
Prof. Guba said that they were not at all uncommon there. I have as yet not succeeded in finding it here.
I had the pleasure of speaking to his class in Pathology. He showed me a number of specimens that I collected while under you at Ames. They remember you very well, and talked quite freely of your splendid work.
