THE JOURNAL OF ANDROLOGY 1982 Annual Report In 1982, 85 unsolicited manuscripts were submitted. This represents a substantial increase in comparison to 1981 when 62 manuscripts were submitted. Our rejection rate for last year was 35.7%, up from 29.5% in 1981. We published 57 manuscripts in 1982, for a total of 462 pages, as compared to 352 pages in 1981. The growth of our Journal is likely to continue since as of March 1, 1983, we already have received 24 new manuscripts (including solicited contributions). During 1982, the Journal of Andrology was accepted for inclusion in Index Medicus and was entered into the MEDLINE online data base. Thus, our Journal is now listed in both Current Contents and Index Medicus. The November/December issue of Volume III (1982) was dedicated to the memory of Dr. Pierre Soupart. Drs. Meizel and Bavister put together the Soupart Memorial Issue consisting of 13 papers and a total of 100 pages. All papers wer e peer reviewed ' and not all of the submitted manuscripts were accepted. The contributors generously agreed to pay $50/page to help defray the cost of extra pages for 1982. As of May 1, 1983, Dr. Marie-Claire Orgebin-Crist will become Editor-in- Chief with Dr. Benjamin Danzo being Associate Editor. The Editor ial Office will move to Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tennessee. Andrzej Bartke, Ph.D. Editor, JOURNAL OF ANDROLOGY March 1, 1983
