1. The standing committees were reviewed.
2. Written reports from each committee will be expected prior to the
interim and annual meetings.
3. Education Committee (Rudi Ansbacher, M.D.) - The topics and format
for the postgraduate session in 1981 were discussed. A one-day program will
precede the Annual Meeting. Structural Function and Dysfunction will be the
morning theme. The afternoon session has not yet been planned but it will
relate to both basic scientists and clinicians. There will be registration
fees for the morning session, the afternoon session and for both sessions.
Extra copies of the syllabus will be printed and placed for sale. The possi­bility
of changing the format of the postgraduate course was discussed. One
alternative was to have the postgraduate course run daily with the Annual
Meeting and make it available to all registrants. The objections to this
were that it would add extra costs, some people do not want to go the post­graduate
course, and it may extend the meeting.
4. Publication Committee (Eugenia Rosemberg, M.D.) - Several items must
be clarified with the publisher of our journal. We need to know the total
number of subscriptions, we need an annual report of finances, and we need to
work out the details about advertising. All advertisements need the approval
of Dr. Rosemberg and the Publications Committee. Leads for potential adver­tisers
in the Journal of Andrology should be forwarded to Dr. Eugenia Rosemberg.
Articles published in the Journal will be carried in Current Contents but it is
not clear that they will be carried in Index Medicus. Publishing talks delivered
by the invited speakers at next year1s meeting was discussed. It was decided
that the presidential address should be published in the Journal of Andrology.
