I i, ( ( . \ AMERICAN SOCIETY OF ANDROLOGY BUSINESS MEETING March 23,1978 NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE 1. The meeting was calle~ into session by Dr. Donald Fawcett, President, at 1830 hours. 2. Report of the Secretary: an updated list of the members with their telephone numbers and addresses is being prepared. The Society has been incorporated in the State of Hichigan. 3. Report of the Treasurer: Dr. Nancy Alexander reported that there was a balance of $11,258, with ,$18,700 revenue and $14,267 disbursements for an overall net gain of $4,407 for the previous year. The members unanimously accepted and approved the report of the Treasurer. 4. This current meeting of the Society of Andrology (3rd) attracted 90 abstracts, of which 80 were selected for presentation - registration totaled 145. 5. Dr. Emil Steinberger thanked Dr. Harie--Dlaire Orgebin--Drist for her outstanding efforts in organizing the present meeting, which was truly successful, and the membership heartily endorsed this. 6. Report of the Postgraduate Committee: Dr. Emil Steinberger, Chairman of this committee, reported that 6 hours of Category I A~~ Credit and 10 cognates for the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists were approved for the present postgraduate sessions. The question of fees for postgradUate courses, especially for the younger members was briefly discussed, and it was recommended that an Education Committee should be established to set policy and adress this issue. This was approved by the membership. 7. Report of the 1979 Program Chairperson: Dr. Anna Steinberger reported that the 4th Annual Heeting would be held at the Shamrock Hilton Hotel, in Houston, Texas, from l-larch 7 to March 9, 1979, with registration beginning on the evening of Tuesday, Harch 6, 1979. 8. Affiliation with ClDA: Dr. Rune Eliasson discussed the organization, representation of affiliated societies, and the financial structure of CIDA. The International Journal Q! Andrology, published by Scriptor in Copenhagen, is the new journal for ClDA. 9. It , ... as announced that Archiyes .Q.f Andrology (Chief Editor Dr. E.S.E. , Hafez) is an inde~ndent publication venture. '.
