The first Baroque concert in the library is held in the upper rotunda lobby outside the Periodical Room, Dec. 7, 1973. Performers in formal dress play instruments including a bassoon, a cello, and a harpsichord.
Work continues on the construction of the original library building. Construction materials are laying around the future east entrance to the building. A portion of Gilman Hall can be seen on the right.
Ida Robertson, cataloger, helps student look up reference in card file. Kathryn Renfro, cataloger, at information desk looks up some information in a reference book.
