Dear Dr. Pammel:
Some time before Prof. J. B. Ellis died, I sent him a Cercospora on Zornea bracteosa. He said it was a new species and asked me to name it.
I should like to call it Cercospora bracteosa or C. bracteata, as it occurs only on the bracts of the plant as far as I have been able to observe.
What do you think of it I havent the slightest idea how to go about naming it. Do you have to describe and publish it? Any information will be thankfully received.
Love to all.
Sincerely your pupil
Geo. W. Carver
