My dear Dr. Pammel:
I had to marvel at my stupidity, when your letter came, apprising me of the fact that I had neglected to put in the location of the Professor of Plant Pathology. He is at Cornell University, Ithaca New York.
I presume, the various interruptions which I am obliged to undergo, in writing a letter by hand caused me to overlook it.
I regret to trouble you in this way.
