Dear Prof. Carver:
I have your letter of March 18th and note what you say with reference to the Avocada flower. I have not seen the paper and I will have it looked up for you, and see what Dr. Stout says, then I will write to you again. I think I have seen some cases recorded in which staminate trees of certain other types have born fruit, but I will look the matter up.
