My dear Prof. Pammel:--
Under the new Ach, and the great multiplicity of papers, and the non acceptance of my paper for publication, leads me to believe that the Academy of Science does not care for papers of that nature. And it seems to bad for me to take any of your valuable time in looking over a long list of matter that will probably amount to practically nothing.
I am getting along nicely, having plenty of work to do, and a most excellent opportunity to study fungi. I have just returned from the seashore on Old Point Comfort Va. Had an excellent trip and made some valuable collections of fungi Ech. With best wishes to all, I am yours most truly,
Geo. W. Carver.
